unke zariye Ummat ko Qur'an aur Sunnat ka asaan raasta mila."
🤝 Sahaba Karam se Mulaqaat
Zamana (Timeline)
Imam Abu Hanifa ki wiladat 80 Hijri mein hui.
Hazrat Anas bin Malik (R.A) ka wisaal taqreeban 93 Hijri mein hua.
Is tarah Imam Sahab ko Sahabi-e-Rasool ki hayaat mein taqreeban 13 saal ka zamana mila.
Maqam-e-Mulaqat
Tareekh mein aata hai ke jab Hazrat Anas bin Malik (R.A) Kufa tashreef laye the, toh Imam Abu Hanifa wahan maujood the aur unhone Sahabi-e-Rasool ki ziyarat ki.
Imam Sahab ka Apna Qaul: Imam Abu Hanifa se yeh qaul mashhoor hai ke unhone farmaya: "Maine Anas bin Malik (R.A) ko dekha." Baaz riwayat mein yeh bhi aata hai ke unhone Hazrat Anas ko namaz parhte hue dekha.
Aimma Arba'a mein Munfarid Maqam
Isi mulaqat ki wajah se chaaron fikhi imamon (Imam Malik, Imam Shafi'i, Imam Ahmad, aur Imam Abu Hanifa) mein se sirf Imam-e-Azam hi woh wahid Imam hain jo Tabi'i hain. Baqi teenon Imamon ka shumar Taba-Tabi'in mein hota hai.
Imam-e-Azam Abu Hanifa (R.A) ki Sahaba Karam se mulaqat (ya unhein dekhne) ke hawalay se ulama aur muhaddiseen ke darmiyan tadaad par ikhtilaf hai. Baaz ne kam tadaad batayi hai aur baaz ne zyada, lekin Hazrat Anas bin Malik (R.A) ke alawa jin deegar Sahaba se unki mulaqat ya deedar ka zikr muatabar (authentic) kitabon mein milta hai, un mein yeh naam sar-e-fehrist hain:
Yahan un mashhoor Sahaba ke naam hain jinhein Imam-e-Azam ne mukhtalif shehron mein dekha:
Hazrat Abdullah bin Abi Aufa (R.A) — (Kufa)
Yeh wo Sahabi hain jo Kufa mein muqeem the. Chunki Imam Abu Hanifa ka talluq bhi Kufa se tha, isliye bohot se muarrikheen (historians) ne likha hai ke Imam Sahab ne inki ziyarat ki thi.
Hazrat Sahl bin Sa'd al-Sa'idi (R.A) — (Madina Munawwara)
Jab Imam Abu Hanifa apne walid ke sath (ya jawani mein Hajj/Umrah ke liye) Madina Munawwara gaye, to wahan Hazrat Sahl bin Sa'd (R.A) maujood the. Kaha jata hai ke Imam Sahab ne wahan unki ziyarat ki.
Hazrat Abu Tufail Amir bin Wathila (R.A) — (Makkah Mukarrama)
Yeh wo Sahabi hain jo duniya se parda karne wale aakhri Sahabi maane jate hain (Inka wisaal taqreeban 100 Hijri ya uske baad hua). Chunki Imam Abu Hanifa ne unki wafat se pehle Hajj kiya tha, isliye Makkah mein unse mulaqat ya unhein dekhna tareekhi aitbaar se mumkin aur sabit mana jata hai.
Deegar Naam (Jin par ikhtilaf ya mazeed tehqeeq hai)
In teen bade naamon ke alawa, mukhtalif "Manaqib" (Imam Sahab ki sawaneh) ki kitabon mein in Sahaba ka zikr bhi aata hai:
Hazrat Wathila bin Asqa (R.A)
Hazrat Abdullah bin Al-Harith (R.A)
Hazrat Ma'qil bin Yasar (R.A)
Hazrat Aisha bint Ajrad (R.A)
Ulama ki Rai (Opinion of Scholars)
Imam Jalaluddin Suyuti (R.A) ne apni tehqeeq mein likha hai ke Imam Abu Hanifa ne 8 Sahaba ki ziyarat ki hai.
Kuch ulama tadaad ko is se kam batate hain, lekin Hazrat Anas bin Malik (R.A) par sab ka ittifaq hai.
Kuch purani kitabon mein yeh tadaad 20 tak bhi batayi gayi hai, lekin aksar muhaddiseen 3 se 7 ke darmiyan naamon par ziyada zor dete hain.
Natija: Imam Abu Hanifa ne Kufa (Iraq), Makkah aur Madina (Hijaz) mein Sahaba ka daur paya aur unki ziyarat ka sharaf hasil kiya, jo unhein "Tabi'i" hone ka lazawal darja deta hai.

🤝 Meetings with the Sahaba
Timeline
Imam Abu Hanifa was born in 80 Hijri.
Hazrat Anas bin Malik (R.A) passed away approximately in 93 Hijri.
Thus, Imam Sahib had approximately 13 years during the lifetime of the Companions of the Prophet.
Status of Meeting
History records that when Hazrat Anas bin Malik (R.A) visited Kufa, Imam Abu Hanifa was present there and he visited the Companion of the Prophet.
Imam Sahib's Own Statement: It is famously reported from Imam Abu Hanifa that he said: "I saw Anas bin Malik (R.A)." Some narrations also mention that he saw Hazrat Anas performing prayer.
Unique Position Among the Four Imams
Because of this meeting, among the four jurisprudential Imams (Imam Malik, Imam Shafi'i, Imam Ahmad, and Imam Abu Hanifa), only Imam-e-Azam is the unique Imam who is a Tabi'i (follower of the Companions). The other three Imams are counted among the Taba-Tabi'in (followers of the followers).
There is disagreement among scholars and hadith experts regarding the number of Companions Imam-e-Azam Abu Hanifa (R.A) met (or saw). Some have given a small number while others have given more, but apart from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (R.A), the names of other Sahaba whom he met or saw are found in authentic books, and these names head the list:
Here are the names of the prominent Sahaba whom Imam Abu Hanifa saw in various cities:
Hazrat Abdullah bin Abi Aufa (R.A) — (Kufa)
He is the Companion who resided in Kufa. Since Imam Abu Hanifa was also from Kufa, many historians have written that Imam Sahib visited him.
Hazrat Sahl bin Sa'd al-Sa'idi (R.A) — (Madina Munawwara)
When Imam Abu Hanifa went to Madina Munawwara with his father (or in his youth for Hajj/Umrah), Hazrat Sahl bin Sa'd (R.A) was present there. It is said that Imam Sahib visited him there.
Hazrat Abu Tufail Amir bin Wathila (R.A) — (Makkah Mukarrama)
He is considered to be the last Companion to pass away (his demise was approximately in 100 Hijri or later). Since Imam Abu Hanifa performed Hajj before his death, meeting or seeing him in Makkah is considered historically possible and established.
Other Names (Which are disputed or require further research)
Apart from these three major names, the names of these Sahaba are also mentioned in various "Manaqib" (biographical works) books:
Hazrat Wathila bin Asqa (R.A)
Hazrat Abdullah bin Al-Harith (R.A)
Hazrat Ma'qil bin Yasar (R.A)
Hazrat Aisha bint Ajrad (R.A)
Opinion of Scholars
Imam Jalaluddin Suyuti (R.A) wrote in his research that Imam Abu Hanifa visited 8 Companions.
Some scholars give a smaller number, but there is consensus on Hazrat Anas bin Malik (R.A).
In some old books, this number is even mentioned as up to 20, but most hadith experts focus on names between 3 to 7.
Conclusion: Imam Abu Hanifa encountered Sahaba in Kufa (Iraq), Makkah, and Madina (Hijaz) and had the honor of visiting them, which grants him the unparalleled status of being a "Tabi'i".
